Spring and Summer Fashion Trends - Part Three

Posted by Mindy Wright on

So....How did you do with last week's trend?  Were you able to find any polka dots in your closet?  Maybe you were lucky enough to finally get out of the house and go shopping to find something new or maybe you are sticking to online shopping.  Either way, I bet you could find something with polka dots!  It's such a fun pattern and shows no sign of going out of style. That being said, let's check out the next trend.

TREND #3....  Maxi Dresses

This is a trend that women all over are crazy about - the dresses are flowy and fit perfectly at the top to help define the silhouette of a woman.  Now let's be honest - people love maxis for many different reasons - they are super comfortable, they hide our flaws (which are only in our heads) and some women love that they don't have to shave their legs when wearing a maxi.  :)  Whatever the reason - these dresses are a favorite of every generation!

The come in a variety of options - long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves, v-neck, strapless, thin straps, or off the shoulder... plus they come in every color and print imaginable!  They can be worn in all seasons too - add a denim jacket for fall or winter and then your "summer" dress transforms into a winter staple.   Another option - tie a knot in the bottom to change up the look. They can be paired with wedges, flip flops, sandals, sneakers, flats or boots.  Basically anything goes with this wardrobe wonder!

So, if you don't have a maxi, what are you waiting for?  Don't trap yourself in jeans or long pants all the time - change it up with a super comfortable and uber trendy maxi dress!  And if you don't know where to look - come to Poppy Lane or check us out online - we have all different colors and patterns - leopard, camo, floral, striped - we have got you covered!  This is another trend that shows no sign of stopping so grab a maxi - I know it will become one of your favorite pieces!

XOXO,

Mindy
