Vintage 1950's Leather Zipper Compact Necklace

This necklace is a cool piece of history, lovingly upcycled for glam wear!  Crafted from a 1950's Leather Powder Zipper Compact - possibly a Chinese powder box?  The colorful design on the lid is incredible!  The compact is empty and the mirror is no longer inside.  Zipper does not work properly but does keep the compact closed.   Vintage foundobject vibe.  Handmade in Arizona.  This is a one-of-a kind piece of assemblage art.  

Vintage pieces are attached to a faceted navy beaded necklace.
